What is the Bounce Back Program?
Building Confidence. Creating Opportunites. Inspiring Hope.
The Bounce Back Program is an initiative of Family Promise of Porter County designed to provide educational, social, and emotional support to children facing homelessness and housing instability.
For children experiencing housing uncertainty, everyday opportunities to learn, play, and grow can be interrupted by frequent transitions, disrupted routines, and limited access to resources.
Bounce Back helps bridge those gaps by providing structured activities, educational assistance, and enriching experiences that encourage healthy development and personal growth.
Our goal is simple: Give every child the support and opportunities they need to thrive, no matter what challenges their family may be facing.
Why Bounce Back Matters
Educational Success
Frequent moves and disrupted routines can make learning difficult. Bounce Back provides academic support and educational resources to help children stay on track, build confidence, and succeed in school.
Emotional Well-Being
Housing instability can create stress and uncertainty for children. Through positive experiences and supportive activities, Bounce Back helps children develop resilience, self-confidence, and a stronger sense of belonging.
Social Development
Every child deserves the opportunities to build friendships and explore new interests. Bounce Back encourages healthy relationships, teamwork, creativity, and meaningful connections through engaging activities.
Family Stability
When children have access to safe, structured programming, parents can focus on employment, education, and securing permanent housing. Supporting children helps strengthen the entire family and creates opportunities for lasting stability.
